Alaska Fishing Adventures

Up the Nushagak River and deep into Alaska’s southwest interior lies the small village of Ewok. The Nushagak River flows from the Alaska Range for 281 miles draining in an inlet of Bristol Bay, east of Dillingham, Alaska.

You’ll fly via commercial jet from Anchorage to the village of Dillingham, located in the heart of the Bristol Bay Drainage, also known as the “Salmon Capital of the World”. From here you board float equipped aircraft for the flight to a remote fishing lodge or camp.

The Nushagak River has the largest run of King Salmon in Alaska. Upwards of 150,000 and in excess of 20% of the Kings that spawn in Alaska run this watershed yearly. We also have available Chum, Pink, Sockeye, Silver Salmon and regularly catch Arctic Char and an occasional Rainbow.

Local Nushagak River Fishing Lodges and Camps

Once you’re at the Nushagak River Camp or Lodge you’ll be on boats getting to the different streams, creeks, and rivers. The fish are never far away. If you are a good at casting, you can almost land a lunker from shore. If you stay at the right lodge or camp, you will not have to spend several hours a day flying around like at some lodges or camps. Also take into consideration, if the weather is poor, you can still get out to the fish when planes are not able to fly.
